Morgan County Fair

While it may not be the biggest fair in Utah, the Morgan County Fair is one of the most fun! An earlier fair, the traditional date is the first week of August. From the queen contest to the rodeo and carnival rides, to new attractions that have been added such as the ATV rodeo and dirt bike challenge, there is no shortage of fun things to do at the fair.

One of the main attractions is the livestock show and sale. Buyers and fans pack the stands to see 4-H kids show and sell their prize animals. A horse show featuring events for kids and adults shows off Morgan's finest equine talent. The excitement and fun expands to cover the events inside the grounds; games, carnival rides, bands playing, booths and food courts cover any taste you can imagine! A favorite stop is the popular donut booth, where a person can get mouth-watering scones and donuts, hand made fresh by the local Lions club. Nearby is a karaoke contest, a clogging competition, and even a line-dancing challenge is offered to old and young.

Covering three days of events, visitors are treated to a never-ending stream of exciting things to participate in or watch. Exhibit halls are filled with the county's best produce, most delicious pies, cookies, cakes and other baked goods. Beautiful flower arrangements, crafts, woodworking, and stunning artwork delight the viewer. The best examples of sewing, quilting, knitting and other hand-made projects also stand out.

As more and more people have become ATV enthusiasts, events including them have been added to the fair. The ATV rodeo is an exciting event that pits man against ATV in the barrel race, relay race and more. A brand-new feature that has been added to the fairgrounds is a dirt bike course; an outdoor arena filled with jumps and bumps that challenge the most experienced rider as they race for the prize money!

The thing that is the most fun about the county fair is that there's something for everyone, from young to old – from a baby contest to honoring the oldest citizen in the grand entry of the rodeo, and everything in between.
