One of the oldest continuously operating ski resorts in America, Snowbasin draws visitors from around the world who want to experience "the greatest snow on earth". The 2002 Olympic downhill and Super G races were held at Snowbasin. Accessed through Morgan via I-15, many visitors saw and admired Morgan while traveling to Snowbasin during the Olympics.
A first-class ski-resort with multiple year-round uses, Snowbasin is located on the Wasatch back just north of Morgan. With over 3000 acres of ski-able terrain, Snowbasin offers every type of skiing experience possible, from downhill racing and cross-country skiing to snowboarding and even a tubing hill.
Snowbasin has two world-class restaurants. The Needles Lodge is located at the summit with spectacular views from 8710 feet, and offers European cuisine such as bratwurst, sauerkraut and schnitzel. To get to the restaurant, you ride the gondola from the base to the top of the mountain, enjoying the incredible views.
The luxurious, 45,000 square foot Earl's Lodge is located at the base of the mountain. Banquets, reunions, weddings and private parties are held there, as well as offering their main dining room for the public. A view of the mountains and six massive fireplaces add warmth and atmosphere for visitors to Earl's Lodge.
